Based on the results of our latest survey, we will be testing a new speed formula for all players over the weekend. We’ve resolved an issue that made most players have similar speeds. Here’s a breakdown of the changes:
- Before: All players after reset 20 had a base speed of 2500, which is the maximum possible speed in the game, usually only accessible to GMs.
- Mounts and wings provide +10 speed, and BOH (Boots of Haste) increased speed by 20 points. With such a high base of 2500, these items made little difference.
- This also caused monsters to have absurdly high speeds, which we’ve now adjusted.
What’s changed?
- Now all players start with 700 speed, and for each reset, they gain 1 extra speed point.
- A player with 150 resets will have 850 speed points, while a player with 2000 resets will have 2700 speed points.
- There is now a maximum limit of 4000 speed points, meaning after reset 3300, speed will no longer increase.
Other effects of the change:
- During hunts, you can now outrun monsters or quickly escape from danger, as monsters’ speed will always be slightly slower than yours.
- Monster spells that cause drunkenness or paralysis will be more impactful. Make sure to have a way to remove paralysis and stay alert to the drunk effect.
- In PvP, resets will matter more. Players with higher resets will be harder to catch, but paralysis will also have a stronger effect, becoming a valuable strategy.
- Speed spells like utanir hur, gran hur, and utamo tempo san will be even more valuable, whether in PvP or to reach places faster.
We understand these are significant changes, and we’re eager to hear your feedback. This is not a permanent change, and we will adjust the parameters based on the data and insights you provide.
Important: In the skills tab, the client divides the speed by two when parsing to players. So 1500 means 750. |
